Seraphina Sol Honored with an A’ Design Award at Teatro Sociale di Como During La Notte Primo A’ 2025

July 17, 2025, Como, Italy — International artist and designer Seraphina Sol was honored at the historic Teatro Sociale di Como, a landmark of European artistic heritage with over two centuries of cultural significance.

Her awarded project, Field Notes Botanical Illustration, received an Iron A’ Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication during La Notte Primo A’, the official gala of the A’ Design Award & Competition. This latest recognition further establishes Seraphina Sol’s presence as a thoughtful and globally engaged designer whose practice blends illustration, research, and visual communication.

The ceremony was held in the historic Teatro Sociale di Como, a neoclassical opera house that has been at the heart of Italian cultural life since 1813. With a legacy that includes performances by legendary performances by virtuosos such as Niccolò Paganini, Franz Liszt, and conductor Arturo Toscanini, and a brief tenure as the wartime home of La Scala, the venue offered a rarefied and symbolic backdrop for this celebration of contemporary design excellence.

Today, Teatro Sociale di Como remains a vibrant cornerstone of artistic heritage. With its rich historical legacy and role in hosting exclusive contemporary cultural events, it serves as a distinguished backdrop for celebrating cutting-edge design excellence.

The A' Design Award specifically celebrates world's leading designers, architects, and brands whose work demonstrates exceptional and superior design qualities while making meaningful contributions to society's advancement.

“It is an extraordinary honor to be recognized on a global stage, and especially here, where generations of artists have shared their vision,” said Seraphina Sol, who joined fellow laureates at the red carpet ceremony and awards gala.

Seraphina Sol’s work is featured in the A’ Design Award Winners’ Exhibition at the Sala Bianco at the Teatro Sociale.
