DESIGNER. ORG LISTS FIELD NOTES ILLUSTRATIONS AMONG LEADING CREATIVE WORKS DRIVING SUSTAINABLE, ECOLOGICAL, AND SOCIAL IMPACT THROUGH DESIGN

Sol’s featured project, Field Notes Botanical Illustration, highlights native plant and insect species that often go unnoticed. Using a combination of scientific illustration and digital drawing techniques, the work draws attention to fragile ecologies and overlooked forms of life. It invites a slower way of seeing—grounded in detail, care, and interconnection.
This recognition follows Sol’s receipt of the 2025 Iron A’ Design Award in the category of Graphics, Illustration, and Visual Communication. The series is used in educational, conservation, and public awareness settings, supporting biodiversity literacy and ecological stewardship.
